We run an exciting and engaging full day kindergarten program daily for 3 year olds and 4 year olds. Designed by our qualified kindergarten teachers this program valuable learing experiences and includes a variety of group times, indoor play and outdoor exploration.

Our programs are inspired by Reggio Emilia & Emergent Curriculum.
Reggio Emilia is recognised worldwide for its innovative approach to education. Foundered by Loris Malaguzzi. She believed that children have more than a hundred ways of expressing their thoughts and ideas: drawing, painting, acting, singing, construction. We supply them with endless opportunity to create.

The Reggio Emilia philosophy is based upon the following set of principles:

• children have control over the direction of their learning;
• children are able to learn through experiences of touching, moving, listening, seeing, and hearing;
• children must have endless ways and opportunities to express themselves.

The Reggio Emilia approach to teaching young children puts the natural development of children as well as the close relationship they share with their environment the centre of the philosophy.

The program encourages enquiry based learning and investigating through children’s interests . Each child’s learning and exploring is documented through photos, text and art work displayed in the room and children’s individual art folders.

Emergent Curriculum focuses on the children’s interests, abilities and experiences. Children have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities that stem from their indidual and group interests. It is a collaboration between staff, parents and children.

Learning about what a child or a class is interested in and then planning a positive authentic learning experience around and beyond that interest.”
